PARAMETER SELECTION AND TEST FOR POWER SYSTEM STABILIZER

This paper presents a method for selecting power system stabilizer's parameters by combining small disturbance analysis in frequency domain and transient stability analysis in time domain. The adaptability of the parameters and the effect of PSS on suppressing disturbance are verified by several tests such as frequency response test, step-function disturbancetest, power system disturbance test and the test of generator output reactive power varying as turbine input power oppositely.
