Performance analyzing of GPRS-based distribution automation system

In distribution automation system,the security and reliability are the guarantee for normal operation in distribution network,at the same time,the reasonable way of communication expense counting is the key to develop distribution automation system.The existing ways of communication can′t satisfy the need of the system very well.With the development of mobile communication,GPRS can provide reliable wireless access with high data rates and gives a good solution for applications of industrial automation.In this paper,the GPRS transmission networks and its advantages are introduced,and a design for distribution automation system,which is based on GPRS transmission networks,is put forward,and its security and the QoS and the counting expenses ways are especially analyzed.The results show that through fixing private circuitries and setting relational parameters,GPRS can satisfy the system demand very well.
