Application model of WiMAX in power communication system

The long-distance telemetering data transmission is an important element in the construction of power information system.As a wireless transmission standard with high-speed, low cost and large coverage, WiMAX technology(IEEE 802.16e standard) is a good solution for it.This paper studies the data transmission mechanism based on IEEE 802.16e, makes the classification and modeling on power communication services, and then maps them to corresponding service of IEEE 802.16e.The simulation results show that the data transmission based on the IEEE 802.16e is practicable in power communication system.
