Fruit recognition based on BP neural network

This paper introduces a fruit recognition method based on BP neural network. With the continuous development of pattern recognition technology,image recognition,as the most representative application,has attracted the attention of many scholars,especially in the aspect of rapid image recognition. In order to solve the defect of traditional fruit image classification and recognition algorithm in artificial feature extraction,the trained BP neural network is applied in fruit recognition. In this experiment,digital image processing method is used. Firstly,the collected images are preprocessed,and the images mixed with various fruits are extracted and identified. The experiment shows that the method based on BP neural network can achieve high correct recognition rate and effectively identify different fruits in the same image.
