On Features of Singapore English from the Perspective of Sociolinguistics

Singapore is a multilingual country with various ethnic groups. English is the main vehicular language for different ethnic groups in Singapore. Singapore English has its distinctive features,namely special language variety,result of multilingual contact and mergence of cultural diversity. This paper mainly studies these features of Singapore English from the perspective of sociolinguistics.
