Ding Hui;Tang Zhenying;
The Indo-Pacific Strategy is a strategy driven by the United States,promoted by Japan,and actively followed up by Australia and India under the background of China's significant rise,India's rapid development and its huge potential. Its main goal is to maintain the prevailing regional order dominated by the United States and prevent the impact of China's rise. The ideological and confrontational colors of Indo-Pacific strategy pose a certain challenge to Indonesia's independent foreign policy and ASEAN's dominant position in regional cooperation. As the most influential country in ASEAN,Indonesia took the initiative to respond to changes in the regional situation,put forward its own "Indo-Pacific policy",and actively participated in regional shaping.The "Indo-Pacific policy"has similarities with Indo-Pacific strategy as well as differences.
