Excavation of the Tang Dynasty Well in Ruyili, Huai'an, Jiangsu Province

Chuzhou Museum of Huai'an;  
Chuzhou Museum conducted a rescue excavation on a well located in the Ruyili Community in Huai'an, Jiangsu province in April 2009. The well(J1) is dated to the Tang Dynasty. A total of 63 objects were unearthed which include a large number of porcelains, a bronze pot inscribed with the character of 汲,and weapons such as knives, hooks, and spears. The well has a rare structure with a huge belly and is the first of its kind found in Huai'an area.
