A Further Discussion on the Origin and Meaning of the Eastern Jin Pictorial Brick Tomb in Zhenjiang

The excavation report of the Eastern Jin pictorial brick tomb in Zhenjiang has briefly pointed out that the tomb has the features of both Shandong culture and pre-Qin's Chu culture. On the basis of this understanding, this study examines several other important examples and concludes that Zhenjiang in the Six Dynasties period formed a self-contained cultural circle and that the pictorial brick tomb in Zhenjiang serves as a typical case to study the cultural transformation during the Han and Jin dynasties.
