It is crucial of the museum in fulfilling its mission to conduct evaluations of its exhibitions and make remedial improvements. In addition to formal professional evaluations, the museum may also make less-formal evaluations through observations of audience behavior to see whether the exhibition has deli-vered the messages that were intended and how the audience has benefited from the exhibition. Audience behavior can be observed from the spatial dimension(the match of the taken route to the planned route) and the temporal dimension(the changes of the length of time spent on each part). The results can roughly indicate the communication quality of the exhibition and the existing problems, based on which improvements can be made accordingly.
