CHROMOSOME OBSERCATION OF 20 SPECIES DRUG PLANTS IN XINJIANG

Chromosome examination was carried out in 20 medical plant species native to Xinjiang in 10 families, the karyotype analysis was also carried out in some species. Karyotype formulae are 2 n=28=4 m+14sm (2SAT)+10st for Stellaria dichotoma L. var. lancealata Bge; 2n=16=8m+4sm (2SAT)=4st (2SAT) for Anemone silvestris; 2n=24=24m (2SAT) for Datura innoxia; 2n=24=24m for Lvcium barbatum; 2n=20=16m+4sm (2SAT) for Inula helenium. The chromosomal numbers of the others are as follows: Isatis tinctoria 2n=14; Sophora alopecuroiaes 2n=36; Cassia tora 2n=28; Glycyrrhiza glabra 2n=16; G.uralensis; 2n=16; G. inflata 2n=16; Euphorbia sororua 2n=16; Ligusticum jeholense 2n=22; Pharbitis nil 2n=30; Elaholtzia splendens 2n=18; Hyoscyamus 2n=34; Cathamus tinctorius 2n=24; Anemarrhena asphodeloides 2n=22; Asparagus officinalis 2n=20; Aloe vera L. var Chinensis (Haw.) Berger.2n=14.The Karyotvpes of 6species are reported for the firsttime.
