The numerical study on characteristics of pteridophyte flora and vertical distribution of Shiwandashan Mountain,Guangxi

ZHOU Hou gao(Agricultural College,Guangxi University,Nanning 530005,China)
Shiwandashan pteridophyte flora which locates at south of the Tropic of Cancer is very rich in families, genera and species,in which there are 264 species represented 113 genera and 52 families. The types of area pattern are of diversity. The genera and species area patterns are classified into 11 types and 14 types respectively. The flora has close affinity with tropical flora,in which the frequency of tropical area patterns of genera are 81.42% and that of species 64.77%.The fact that the frequency of Asian tropical area patterns are very high indicates that the flora studied here has close affinity with Asian tropical flora especially with Indochina flora. The frequency variation of area patterns is correlated with elevation. The results of clustering analysis indicate that an elevation of 800 meters is a line of demarcation of vertical distribution.By multiple analysis technique, the differentiation of the pteridophyte flora was studied quantitatively based on frequency data of area patterns.
