The Technology and Challenge of NB-IoT

In this paper, the narrowband Internet of things(NB-IoT) is introduced. The main advantages of NB-IoT are including low rate, low power consumption, low cost, high capacity, wide coverage, multiple connections etc. And potential applications of NB-IoT technology are listed including the transportation sector, health care, public facilities, the logistics industry, meter reading, industrial manufacturing, retail industry, smart home, intelligent agriculture, energy management, etc. Finally this paper provides the challenge and future analysis of NB-IoT.
