Determination of Damping Characteristics of Materials for Turbine Blades with tke Help of Microprocessors

The vibration damping charateristics of three different materials each for four diverse heat treatments are determinated quantitatively by using a self-developed single-chip processor. Those charateristics provide a scientific basis for the choice of blade material and the method for automatization of complex procedures of material testing. Test results show that tranditional qualitative ways of determination can be replaced by the microprocessor aided.
