Superheated Temperature State Variable Control with A General Purpose Microprocessor-Based Controlie

The paper discusses a new type of superheated steam control system, the state observation and control (SOC) system, developed on the principles of cybernetics, utilizing a general purpose microprocessor-based controller. A SOC-PID control scheme is proposed which couples SOC with PID. Taking a digital single loop microprocessor-based controller (KMM) as am example, problems associated with design, configuration, parameter setting and traking are discussed. System simulation is presented in connection with a actual design subject matter. Results show that, under same operation conditions, performance with SOC-PID control is superior to that of using conventional PID cascade control. The paper provides a foundation for the application and popularization of SOC control of superheated steam temperature. Figs 4 and refs 3.
