GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRECAMBRIAN BARITIC ROCK IN MIANNING, SICHUAN PROVINCE

The ore-bearing baritic rock is an important hydrothermal sedimentary rock belonging to Precambrian Youheimu Group, in Mianning, Sichuan Province. Its REE pattern is featured by lower total REE with enrichment of LREE, obvously negative Eu and weakly negative Ce anomaly. The contents of trace elements are comparatively low and the δ34S of the baritic rock are quite similar to those of contemporaneous suphate deposited from sea water.The baritic rock was formed under moderate to low temperature, weakly alkaline and weak oxidation conditions through high-speed hot water sedimentation.
