Four methods for measuring the partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide concentration are discussed in this paper. Among these, the Starch-Tri- iodide method is most suitable for the measurement of trace component under various conditions. The Turbidimetric method can give a good linear relationship over a wide range and condition. Ultraviolet spectroscopy can obtain accurate measurement results only on the condition of more pure wa- ter quality, but this method is simple and direct. the viscosity method is not suitable for the determination of HPAM concentration.
