Characteristics of electrodynamic seepage flow of one-phase fluid in porous media

In this paper, the characteristics of electrodynamic seepage flow have been studied by the experiments under DC electric field. Both the mathematical model established in this paper and the experimental evidences reveal that the velocity of electrodynamic seepage flow is related to the electric field intensity, pore structure of the formation and the behavior of the formation fluid. The electrodynamic seepage flow velocity increases with the electric field intensity increase, and the effect is obvious with the injection water salinity increase. In the experimental system, the injectability can improve greatly under the impressed DC electric field when injection end is cathode and production end is anode.
