Application of pinch point technology to the hydrogen producing plant

In this paper the pinch point technology was adopted to design a heat exchange network of the hydrogen producing plant in Daqing Petrochemical Company Refinery. Based on the calculation,the pinch point temperature and the minimum amount of public utility were determined,hereby the heat flow rate and the matching of heat\|exchange were adjusted. The optimized result indicated that the amount of cold public utility decreased by 10.17MW and the amount of circulation water was only 6.3% of the original amount. The maximum heat reclamation was achieved.
