Determination of critical well spacing in the low permeability oil reservoirs

The experiment of single-phase flow through low permeability core shows that during fluid flow there exists start-up pressure gradient.The observed start-up pressure gradient is derived through processing experimental data,and the power function of start-up pressure gradient and permeability in low permeability reservoir is obtained,when considering the nonlinear flow function of start-up pressure gradient.Combined with the percolation theory of low permeability oil reservoirs,we derived the function of determining critical technological spacing in low permeability reservoirs,and provided the theoretical basis for determining reasonable well spacing density during the development of low permeability oil reservoirs.The smaller the permeability,the bigger the start-up pressure gradient.
