Quantitative evaluation of particle-size in coal-based sandstone reservoirs and the prediction of oil and gas accumulation area:Taking J_1b group,Aih12 block in west slope of Mahu sag,Junggar basin,for example

In order to clarify the distribution of oil and gas accumulation zone in the thin layer coal-based sandstone reservoir,following the research approach of " Analysis of the geological main causes—Definition with log chart-quantitative prediction with seismic",and by means of the study of relation of granularity to logging in 16 wells( 183 core sample points) and the analysis of plastic debris volume fraction and compaction-cut-hole effect contrast in different particle-size,this paper draws conclusions that particle-size is the key control factors of the quality of coal-based sandstone reservoir. The high efficient reservoir with high oil content is mainly coarse-middle sandstone. Based on GR curve,a quantitative evaluation chart of coal sandstone reservoir is established. According to the definition standard of sandstone( 38 GR≤80 API) and efficient reservoir( 38 GR≤51 API),the quantitative prediction of sand/ground ratio and high efficiency reservoir is achieved through GR inversion.The three elements of oil and gas enrichment are " moderate sand/ground ratio( 40% ~ 60%),scale efficient reservoir( coarse-middle sandstones,thickness is more than 4 m,connected area is greater than 5 km2),and good source-reservoir communication conditions( source-reservoir communication faults) ". On the basis of elements of oil and gas enrichment above mentioned,this paper preferred six pieces of oil and gas accumulation zone( A F),the total area of which are 44. 8 km2. It will help to evaluate and predict the efficient coal-based sandstone reservoir in Junggar basin and other basins.
