The application of Rayleigh wave testing techniques in geotechnical engineering

The paper studies the Beijing geotechnical engineering targets by applying Rayleigh wave testing techniques.Aiming at evaluation on foundation bearing capacity,we present three methods: evaluating the foundation intensity by directly applying Rayleigh wave velocity,evaluating homogeneity of foundation soil by group velocity from time-frequency curve,evaluating foundation intensity by applying Rayleigh wave testing comprehensive information.Through analyzing engineering examples on different districts,the paper summarizes some characteristics and relationships and provides a logical,reliable and simple way for evaluating foundation intensity.
