Features about seismic anisotropy of the crustal medium in Ningxia region

Aiming at the seismic events occurred within the shear wave window recorded by all stations of Ningxia digital seismic network,the results of the crustal anisotropy measurement in Ningxia region have been obtained.And the spatio-temporal distribution features of the polarization direction of the faster wave of the shear wave splitting and the time-delay between the two split shear waves have been analyzed.It has been gotten that the fast wave polarization directions of shear wave splitting are either parallel and sub-parallel with the direction of the regional principle press stress field,being consistent with EDA,or mainly accordant with the strike of the main seismic structures in study region,and basically perpendicular to the direction of the regional principle press stress field.The slow wave time lags of shear wave splitting in south Ningxia are currently larger than in north Ningxia.In 2008,the predominant fast wave polarization directions of shear wave splitting of ZHW and NSS stations rotate at different degree.Meantime,the slow shear wave time lags increase as a whole.It is thought probably due to the influence of the Wenchuan M=8.0 earthquake.
