Application of the high-frequency magnetotelluric sounding to investigation of worked out areas of molybdenum deposits

Worked out areas bring various troubles,so the survey of worked out areas has become an important subject.It is a key to the accurate detection in the worked out area of molybdenum to choose proper physical prospecting methods.This paper introduces the fundamental principle of the high-frequency MT method using the EH4 electromagnetic imaging system.The measuring results of the known worked out sections and the unknown worked out sections show that this measurement is an effective method.Based on some examples,the application of the high-frequency magnetotelluric sounding is introduced.This method,which possesses very strong adoptability for the site and larger detecting depth, reducing topographic influence efficiently,has a wide application prospect.
