Quality control and application analysis of EMRT logging

The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR) technique has been widely applied to petroleum well logging and rock core analysis.It is very complicated to acquires well-logging data.ELIS Magnet Resonance Tool(EMRT)is developed by COSL.It has been applied in many oilfields such as Bohai Sea,South China Sea,Shanxi,Iraq and Indonesia.Parameters obtained from EMRT logging technology can be used to evaluate the total porosity,effective porosity,clay-bound water,capillarybound water,permeability,pore-size distribution,movable fluid,mobile water saturation and bound water saturation of the reservoir.The quality control in magnetic resonance logging is essential to acquire raw data accurately,which makes it one of the core jobs in entire logging process.Quality control in well logging by EMRT involves many aspects such as prelogging design,instrument calibration and verification,raw data inspection and data processing,environment correction.Because of investigation depth of NMR log is shallower,The data quality is influenced by borehole shape,mud invasion and lithology.Therefore,in order to ensure the accuracy of logging data,the changes of quality control parameters should be paid more attention in time while logging and conventional logging data also should be analyzed.Based on the general principle of quality control,this article analyzed the main factors of NMR logging quality control,described the way to implement it and proposed the requirements of logging parameters.Moreover,the NMR logging quality control was analyzed combine with a logging example.
