The logging evaluating method on carbonates reservoirs

The carbonates reservoir heterogeneity was strong,its space is complex and variable,it is difficult to identify reservoir fluid and net pay identification.In order to finish logging evaluating on carbonates reservoir using conventional logging,based on geologic characteristic of carbonates,the reservoir is divided into three types:first type,fracture plus pore space reservoir which porosity is bigger than 3.5%.Its fracture is mainly large scale structure fracture,another is some macroscopic fracture,this is the best reservoir in carbonates.Second type,micro-fracture plus pore space reservoir which porosity is bigger than 3.5%,which fracture is micro-pore,fracture and hole.Third type,fracture zone reservoir which porosity is less than 3.5%,which crack is developed.The matrix porosity and the oil saturation is less and nearly to zero.So according to three types reservoir,the logging geologic evaluating model is built.This kind of reservoir is dual-medium model,so the geometry and fuild model of two types pore space should be built respectively,the geometry and fuild distribution model of three types reservoir is built separately.Each model include fracture and matrix pore system.On this basement,all kinds logging curves responsing characteristic is summarized up.The mathematical model calculating reservoir parameter is obtained,which is porosity of matrix and fracture,permeability and oil and water saturation.The open degree of fracture is also calculated quantificalionally.The criterion of reservoir fluid and net pay is supplied.Finally the logging evaluating on carbonates reservoir using conventional is finished.
