Application of high-density resistivity method on selection of landfill in Chayuangou

Landfill is one of the common ways of waste disposal,but it always threatens people's lives and property safety.Therefore,selection of landfill need be paying attention.Most of the work area is covered by Quaternary,thick vegetation with less outcrops increasing the difficult of assessment.Compared with conventional resistivity method,high-density electrical is characterized by low cost,high efficiency,information-rich,easy to explain,and improve the ability of exploration.In this paper,high-density resistivity survey is applied to a detailed assessment of the landfill,the result shows that the F_2,F_3 fault cross this area from south and north of the landfill respectively,not directly crossing the landfill,it provides a relatively stable tectonic environment for landfill.The water-bearing clay layer played a role of natural aquifuge on the earth's surface.According to the high-density resistivity survey,the distribution of the structure and hydrogeological characteristics of the landfill is clear.It is of significance to the selection of landfill and the launching project.
