Analyzing on applicability of expanding influence correction method of density logging in the coalbed methane reservoir

It will directly determine the accuracy of the evaluation of coalbed gas and CBM parameters using logging data whether density log value can effectively represent the actual density of the CBM reservoir.The density logging response characteristics and the expanding rate of three of the main coal seam are statistically analysis using statistical method for study area,the inherent relationship between the expanding rate and density response are found out,and the expanding influence which results in lower density log response values??is the main reason.The correction method of density expanding influence are informatively analyze,it is low that the applicability of the correction method use in coalbed methane reservoirs. According to the measured apparent relative density,the density logging values??and the expanding rate,the model of correction of density logging expanding impact is fit using the least squares method.This model is applied to density logging expanding impact of computer automatic correction in he Hancheng gas field CBM reservoir of the eastern Ordos basin,the results show that the correction results is very close to the measured apparent relative density,it also indicate that the method can effectively increase the correction accuracy of the density log expanding influence.
