THEORETICAL MODEL OF STRAIN (M_2 WAVE) TIDE IN CONTINENTAL CHINA

This paper deals with the problem of the theoretical model of strain (M2) tide formed from both solid tide and the effect of ocean tide in continental China.The geodesic parameters of strain tensor for semidiurnal tide, as well as the formulas, are developed. The effects of ocean tide on strain (M2) are mainly studied and calculated. The calculation methods are discussed and the results of 40 points are given. In calculating, the global ocean maps (Schwiderski, 1979) and those close China (Shen Yujiang, 1980, 1985) are used together. Then, "strain flowers" for some cases are ploted. Above results provide the theoretical reference for both theoretical investigation and observational analysis.
