ON THE PROBLEMS OF 3-D SEISMIC DATA PROCESSING

MA ZAI-TIAN(Tonji University, Shanghai)
Three-dimensional (3-D) seismic surveys have been available commercially since the 70's abroad. In china, it has been used for petroleum industry since 1980. The results achieved in China and abroad effectively illustrate the economic successes realized by this method. However, the 3-D data processing techniques have not been perfected in comparison with 2-D seismic data processing. In this paper the problems concerning 3-D data processing are discussed and the new ideas about 3-D stacking velocity analysis, computation of 3-D residual statics and 3-D prestack migration method are presented.
