NUMERICAL STUDY OF ACOUSTIC FIELD OF BOREHOLE IN SOFT FORMATION

ZHANG HAI-LAN LI MING-XUAN(Institute of Acoustics, Academia Sinica,Beijing 100080)  
In Ref.[1,2] space distributions at different times of a transient acoustic field radialed by a point source in a borehole in a fast formation were calculated by using the method of Real Axis Integral. The result, including the acoustic wave inside the porehole and the elastic wave outside the borehole, demonstrates the structure and development of the field clearly. The method now is used to the case of the slow formation borehole and the result is compared to that of the fast formation. The method is introduced in this paper in delail.
