THE APPLICATION OF CSAMT METHOD IN LOOKING FOR HIDDEN GOLD MINE

YU CHANG-MING (Institute of Geophysics, Academia Sinica,Beijing 100101, China)  
Controlled Source Audiomagnetotelluric method is one of the geophysical methods applied in Beilidian region. Because penetration coefficient and resolution power of induced polarization method (IP) is correlative with geometric factors, so the deeper geology features can not been obtained clearly by IP method. CSAMT is a better way to solve mis problem. First area survey by IP method was carried out according to the regional geology background, mineralization conditions and physical features of rocks in mine field, then CSAMT method was measured. After data processing, two low-resistivity gradient zones in deeper part of measure area can be found; one of them inclined steeply and another one inclined slowly. They intersect in 800m depth.We believe that they are main host structure and ore-control strictires.
