A THREE-DIMENSIONAL NONHYDROSTATIC NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR ABL OF DEEP CONCAVE OPEN PIT MINE AND ITS AIR QUALITY FORCASTING

In this paper, a high-resolution, nonhydrostatic, three-dimensional ABL model for deep concave open pit mine was established to study its ABL structure under its actual terrain and meteorology conditions. The model was connected with a random walk dispersion model and the preliminary forecasting situation of the air pollution over the open pit mine was got. The results show that the model has capacity of simulating ABL of microscale deep concave terrain, and the close, low velocity and high TKE of the re-circulation are the important mechanism inducing air pollution in the pit.
