FLUCTUATION OF THE OH AIRGLOW PROFILE INDUCED BY GRAVITY WAVE

By using the FICE scheme and the thermosphere ionosphere mesosphere electrodynamics general circulation model, we analyze the effect of nonlinear propagating gravity wave on the OH airglow profile. The results shows that a shorter vertical wavelength gravity wave significantly influences the peak layer of the OH volume emission rate when gravity wave through the emission layer, sometimes it can induce the double peak structure in OH volume emission rate profile, which indicates that the nonlinear propagation of the gravity wave is a direct cause of the double peak structure of OH airglow. In addition , OH airglow altitude distribution is sensitive to the breaking of gravity wave at mesospause. These results can explain some observations, and can provide a good indication for studying the characteristic of nonlinear gravity wave by using OH airglow measurement.
