Joint imaging of primaries and surface-related multiples based on generalized shot-profile migration

In this paper,a generalized traditional shot-profile migration is presented to jointly image primaries and surface-related multiples.This method replaces the impulsive source with sum of impulsive source and recorded primaries and surface-related multiples,and the extrapolated wavefield at the receivers consists of recorded primaries and surface-related multiples.To achieve crosstalk suppression,the method introduces a 2D deconvolution imaging condition.A simple five-layers model and complex Sigsbee2b synthetic data are used to test the method.Results show that the method is effective to suppress the crosstalk artifacts generated by interference of upgoing and downgoing events not associated with the same subsurface reflection points.
