MENG XIAO-HONG; TAN CHBNG-ZE (China University of Geoscience, Beijing 100083)  
By means of the hysteresis loop, the inductive susceptibility and remanent susceptibility measurements, and by means of analysis of the magnetic domain states,the contents and the forming mechanism of the magnetic minerals of Liaonan Kimberlites, Liaoning Province, are analysed. The results show that the magnetic minerals of the rocks are mainly SD(Single Domain) and PSD (Pseudo-Single Domain) magnetites which are formed in hydrothermal periods. This implies that the magnetic minerals of the rocks are mainly original,and the chemical remagnetizations are not serious. By the principal component analysis, combining with the isotropic age, the pakomagnetic data of early paleozoic in Liaonan are given.
