APPLICATION OF REGIONAL ISOSTATIC COMPENSATION MODEL TO TIBET PLATEAU AREA

ThE model of viscous-elastic plate with the theory of regional isostatic compensation and the technique of coherence are adopted to study Tibet plateau area.The results are that the regional compensation at longer wavelength is completed by the flexure of a viscous-elastic plate with an effective elastatic thickness of approximately 30km and surface and subsurface loads which are not compensated are supported by this plate.
