INVERSION METHOD FOR DETERMINING VERTICAL PROFILES OF WATER VAPOR USING GROUND- BASED MICROWAVE REMOTE SENSING

The combination of Monte-Carlo method with Golden section method is used for obtaining the vertical profile of atmospheric humidity and liquid water content under overcast condition, using passive microwave remote sensing from the ground. The principle for examing the degree of correlation among channels with orthogonalizing method in nonlinear remote sensing equation is discussed. Using these methods, numerical tests have been carried out with 256 samples in Beijing.
