Effect of Topagraphy on The Development of Inertial Gravity Wave

Wu Chisheng(Department of Atmospheric Science ,Zhongshan University, Guangzhou 510275)
Using the WKB method, the effect of topagraphy with steep slope orientationly in north-south onthe shallow water inertial gravity wavehas been studied. It is discoved that the disturbance propagatinghorizontally along upgradient (or downgradient) orientation of the topagraphic height will be decaied(or amplified) if the fluid is stably stratified, and vice verse.
