Mass Transfer from An Aerosol Particle Suspended in A Simple Shear Flow of Small Péclet Number

This paper deals with the rate of mass transfer from an aerosol particle Suspended in a simple shearflow of small Peclet number, which provides a measure of the ratio of the convection to diffusion and isequal to the product of the Reynolds number and the Schmidt number.In particular a fourterm expan-sion for the dimensionless mass transfer rate is developed by making use of a singular perturbationmethod.
