Numerical Study on Sound Radiation Efficiency of Porous Rubber Plate

Porous rubber plate is a material with excellent acoustic absorption performance,which is naturally good for damping structural vibration,and sound radiation efficiency is an important parameter to describe its sound radiation performance. The objectives of this study are to analyze sound radiation performance of porous rubber plate and examine the impacts while varying structural dimensions such as porosity,viscous characteristic length and thermal characteristic length,as well as material properties such as Young's modulus and rubber density. The porous rubber plate,size 500 mm × 500 mm × 30 mm,is analyzed using hybrid FE-SEA method. The numerical results show that different parameters in different frequency bands have different effect on sound radiation efficiency,which might provide some useful reference to parameter optimization of porous rubber plate.
