Research on Spatial Positioning System Based on Microphone Arrays

An acoustic source localization experiment based on microphone arrays,which is on the theoretical basis of the time delay estimation positioning technology,is implemented in the paper by using LabView and Matlab. In this experiment the acoustic source is moved along the x and y directions respectively. It is turned out that both four-element acoustic array and five-element acoustic array could accurately realize acoustic source localization,but the result of five-element acoustic array is much more stable. The positioning technology lays the foundation of acoustic source visualization,while it also has important value in military and other fields.
