A NEW SPECIES AND A NEW RECOD OF THE GENUS PROPARHOLASPULUS ISHIKAWA FROM CHINA (ACARI: MESOSTIGMATA: PARHOLASPIDAE)

The present paper deals with a new species and a new recod of the genus Proparholaspulus. The length unit is in micron. All specimens are deposited in the Department of Environmental and Resources Biology, Fudan University, Shanghai.Proparholaspus ishikawai sp. nov. (figs. 1—5)This new species is similar to P. suzukii Isnikawa, 1980 from the litter of forest in Japan, but it has two pairs of stout apical spines on tarsi Ⅱ and without thumb-like apophysis on femurⅡ, whereas the latter has one pair of stoat apical spines on tarsi Ⅱ and a thumb-like apophysis on remus Ⅱ.Holotype ♀, May, 14, 1986, collected from top layer soil of the sea wall, Nanhui (31°1'N,121°8'E), Shanghai, by the author. Paratype 1♀, same as for holotype; 1♀, may, 1983, collected from top layer soil of a bank of field, Baoshan (31°4'N, 121°5'E), Shanghai, by the authorProparholaspus suzukii IshikawaNew record from China.May 20, 1986, collected form litter of forest in Mt.
