HEAT TRANSFER LIMITS OF CRYOGENIC CAPILLARY PUMPED LOOP(CCPL)

The heat transfer limits of the cryogenic capillary pumped loop (CCPL) including capillary limit, boiling limit, viscous limit, entrainment limit and vapor tension limit are calculated to analyze the effects of these limits on the performance of CCPL. The calculated results reveal that the main affecting factors of the heat transfer characteristics of CCPL are capillary limit and boiling limit. In addition, the factors of affecting capillary limit are discussed. The present study provides a basic for the design of CCPL.
