A NEW MODIFIED MHV1 MIXING RULE BASED ON THE NEW REFERENCE STATE FOR THE VAPOR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIA OF MIXTURES

Han Xiaohong Wang Qin Chen Guangming Cui Xiaolong(Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310013)
By introducing the new reference state different from the original one of MHV1 mixing rule, the following modifications are proposed to the original MHV1 mixing rule. The correlated results are in good agreement with existing experimental data within a wide range of temperatures and pressures. In comparison with the original MHV1 model, the modified MHV1 mixing rule not only keeps good accuracy for polar systems, but also gives much better predictions for the vapor-liquid equilibria of strongly polar systems.
