Performance analysis of reverse-Brayton air refrigerator

Sun Yu Hou Yu Zhao Hongli Chen Chunzheng(Institute of Refrigerating and Cryogenic Engineering,Xi'an Jiaotong University,Xi'an 710049,China)  
Theoretical analysis of the thermal performance of opening reverse-Brayton air refrigerator has been performed.A model of refrigerator system consisting of compressor,expander and exchanger has been set up.Analysis of the effect of system parameter including performance of compressor,expander and exchanger,the selection of system flow,ambient temperature,refrigeration temperature and design parameter of pressure ratio on the performance of the refrigerator and the COP of the system has been studied under the general engineering working condition.According to the research,there is an optional pressure ratio π_(opt)~4 assuring the maximal refrigeration coefficient.The improved scheme is advanced to increase the efficiency of the refrigerator.The system parameter and design parameter are optimized.
