Simulation and analysis of influence of pressure ratio on regenerator performance

The simulation with simple harmonic analysis on the performance of a regenerator was carried out.Considering output pressure differences between potential driving sources,e.g.,thermoacoustic prime mover and linear compressor,the influence of pressure ratio on regenerator performance was discussed.Computation results provide optimized dimensions of regenerator for different pressure ratios at a fixed acoustic power input,which could be a preliminary guide in designing a regenerator for pulse tube refrigerators.
