Dynamic Modeling and Simulation of Hybrid Energy Storage-Based Photovoltaic Microgrid

To supply continuous and stable electricity generated by photovoltaic generation,it is proposed to combine battery with high efficiency of energy conversion to hydrogen energy device with low storage cost to form hybrid energy storage system applied to photovoltaic(PV) microgrid.The PV microgrid is composed of PV modules,fuel cells,electrolyzers,hydrogen tanks,batteries and so on,and the matching among output characteristics of these components is implemented by connecting these components to the DC bus via power converters.Mathematical model of these components are built,and control strategies of these components as well as the coordinative control strategy for PV microgrid are designed.Using Matlab software,a dynamic simulation platform for PV microgrid based on hybrid energy storage is constructed,and the dynamic operational performance of PV microgrid is analyzed.Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid energy storage system can respond load demand in time and implement power balance of PV microgrid.
