Control of Three-Level Rectifier in Stationary Coordinate System Under Unbalanced Grid Voltage

Traditional rectifier controlling methods possess good performance under unbalanced network voltage,however their computation and control are complex.A control method of three-level rectifier in stationary coordinate system under unbalanced grid voltage is proposed,and comparing with traditional control methods it neither needs for the proposed method to perform rotating transformation and phase detection of grid voltage,nor to extract positive-and negative-sequence components,thus the time-delay and calculation complexity are effectively reduced.By means of analyzing instant power of three-level rectifier in stationary coordinate system,the reference current is calculated to ensure stable DC bus voltage and unit power factor at AC side.The proposed control method is simulated by Matlab /Simulink,and simulation results show that using the proposed control method the voltage of DC bus is basically stable and the current and voltage at AC side are in-phase while single-phase voltage sag occurs or harmonics exist in grid voltage.
