A Novel Power Quality Compensation Device Based on Two-Phase Three-Wire Converter for High Speed Electric Railway

To compensate of negative-sequence current,reactive power and harmonics in electrified railroad in centralized way,a novel compensation device composed of thyristor control filter,thyristor control reactor and two-phase three-wire converter is proposed.In the proposed compensating device the passive device compensates reactive power and part of harmonics,thus the capacity of active device can be decreased and the reliability of compensation device is improved.The working principle of the novel compensation device is analyzed,and on this basis the coordinated control strategy for it is put forward.To improve steady-state and transient performances of current tracking control,a tri-state hysteresis control method based on repetitive control is given.Both correctness and superiority of the proposed system structure and its control strategy are verified by simulation test and experiments.
