Reservoir Water Level-Water Surface Curve Measurement Based on GIS and TM Image

Based on the GIS software and TM remote sensing data of Xueye reservoir in Dawenhen drainage basin , Combined with the GIS theory about the raster data and the vector data process, the author presents the extraction of water surface area method based on GIS, which joined with the water statistic data, the author creates the water level-water area curve. Compared with the traditional ways, the idea has the characteristic of quick speed and high efficiency and the measurement process simplification. According to the method comparison and analysis, the idea lays the foundation for further water analysis.
